Waiting for WriteRoom

Right, so here’s a challenge for both myself and Hog Bay Software. You see, I want to use my iPad for writing as well as browsing the web, reading feeds (more on that later) and emailing away from the couch. So, the challenge for Hog Bay Software:

If you release WriteRoom for the iPad (even if it is just a simple adaptation of the excellent iPhone version) within two weeks, I will use it to write a short story, which I then will release for free.

And I’ll blog the experience, obviously.

Why this somewhat desperate stunt for attention? Well, WriteRoom is, alongside Scrivener, my favorite writing tools and I want it for my iPad. Badly. So get the iPad version out there already, Jesse!

    Based on you previous post on WriteRoom I downloaded the trial and I fell in love with it.

    I bought i just a few days after and I’m using it every day ever since.

    I can just imagine that you do also want this software on the iPad. I hope they make it happend.

    I wish I could, but I that timeframe’s just too short. But what about using TaskPaper for iPad as a writing tool? It would be a good test, because eventually I want to give WriteRoom many of TaskPaper’s “structure and filter” features. So even if it doesn’t work out I’d appriciate any feedback that you can provide. Plus TaskPaper for iPad is in beta now.

    That would be cool, although I tend to just use Scrivener for the most extreme projects, otherwise WriteRoom’s my poison. Would be interesting to see Scrivener for iPad though.
