Archive for TDH
I’ve made two minor updates on the site today.
- The Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog, 3rd Edition page is updated with some more information, and a pre-order link.
- The store page got the pre-order link for the book too. No Kindle edition available there yet.
I also updated my Amazon author page
with a new cover photo and the @tdh Twitter account.
In the not so distant future you’ll see a lot of changes here on TDH.me, as well as a somewhat steady stream of released content that I’ve neglected. Mostly WordPress themes, but there are some fiction that I’ll probably publish here as well.
I’ve been interviewed over at Tumbleweed about the Tackling Tumblr book. Check it out.
I hope you’ll excuse the silence here, but I’ve been busy writing my next book, having a week’s vacation, and catching up on work. Things are happening behind the scenes, however, and I hope to talk more openly about that real soon. In case the Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog, 2nd Edition announcement wasn’t enough to merit the wait and all…
Sorry for being so quiet the past few days, I’ve been away on vacation, and work leading up to that was a bit overwhelming. On the flip side, I feel invigorated and can’t wait to kick off everything again, starting with a book announcement sometime this week!
This post is mostly for my own sake, but since I’ve gotten quite a few questions about TDH.me and the future I figured I’d share what’s coming up, site-wise. I’m not talking about content here, but rather what fixes and tweaks I intend to get done in the coming days and possibly week. Continued →
Curious about that change thing? Take a look at the new TDH logo on my Flickr if you will!
I know, I know, this blog is not extremely neglected, it also looks a bit dated compared to some other stuff I’m doing. Especially if you count cool things from my books. Now that just won’t do, now will it?
I’m in the process of revamping TDH.me, so if things suddenly luck totally weird and temporary, please bear with me. Most likely I will do this late one night when I feel like fiddling with something that can break. And most likely that will be done with a single malt whisky by my side, for some reason those two go hand in hand…
There’s another reason as well, and that is that I’m finally branching out to do more than just tech stuff in English. I’ll release something on Kindle (and other ebook formats) fairly soon, and it’s not about WordPress or anything like that. To make room for those things here as well, I need to do a bit of house cleaning.
And I’ll post more too. Promise.
Since I now have two books to brag about, I snuck out some sort of Books page. Sneaky.
I did a presentation on taking WordPress beyond the blog, which incidentally is what my book Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog is all about, on the excellent Disruptive Code conference earlier this week. The slides are up on Slideshare, and embedded below for your viewing pleasure. A video should appear in the coming week or so.
I’ve been ill for a while, which is one of the reasons for the lack of updates here and on my Facebook fan page. Slowly getting back on my feet now, so expect more noise soonish. Thanks for your patience.
Just a reminder to fan med on Facebook if you’re interested in my writing. Most of my notes on that end up there.
If you’re following me on Twitter or a fan on Facebook you already know this, but if you’re in the Manchester area in July, I urge you to pop by WordCamp UK. I’ll be hosting a session and talk WordPress with whoever who’ll listen. Hope to see you there!
If you’re a fan on Facebook you already know that the code downloads for Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog are on the way. Thought I’d share it here too.
It’s a first for me, I never did rely on portfolios for my design and WordPress services. However, I started to feel bad about it so I made a simple little thing that are in desperate need of some TLC. That’ll have to wait though, because despite the lack of a portfolio over the years, I’ve had no problems at all keeping busy. Strange really.
The portfolio resides on tdhedengren.com, as it always has. I’m keeping the blog separate.
